I could say so much about this ship but you should really look it up for all the info. It was ahead of its time. It still holds the Trans Atlantic Speed Record aka The Blue Riband Award. It carried Presidents, Royalty, Hollywood stars and the Mona Lisa. Its Hull design was utilized in multiple Vessels / Warships, from its time forward. In other words, it's a piece of US History ... If funding isn't soon secured for its restoration/Repurposement ... it will be sold for SCRAP !!! .. What a shame that would be !!
